Guiding Principles for MODLegen’s Content and Distribution
Editorial Policy
MODLegen provides clear and accurate information about all software we distribute. We conduct thorough analysis and testing to evaluate each app’s performance, security, and usability, ensuring they meet our minimum quality standards. We are more than just an alternative app store; we are a comprehensive knowledge base for distributing, indexing, and managing software, helping users access this content effectively. This includes:
-
Evaluations in a conversational tone with accessible language -
Technical information -
Screenshots -
App overviews -
Frequently asked questions -
Topic-based list structures
Publishing Policy
We maintain a transparent publishing process with the following steps:
Step | Description |
---|---|
1 |
Log into Developers Console and create a new application (Add new app). |
2 |
Upload installation file (APK/XAPK/MOD…) and enter metadata: app name, package name, version, size, supported devices, category, and developer. |
3 |
Add ASO content: detailed description (≥200 words), screenshots (≥3 high-quality images), video, and clear icon. |
4 |
Submit for review to send for moderation. |
5 |
Internal MODLegen review: VirusTotal scan (>70 engines), digital signature verification, and content criteria evaluation (anti-malware, anti-fraud, anti-copyright infringement…). |
6 |
Decision: Approved → Waiting for publication → Published; or Rejected (requires edits and resubmission). |
7 |
Post-publication: App goes live on MODLegen; team can add articles/photos/videos/translations; developers manage stats, updates, and user feedback. |
